What do we do when we want to schedule an infant baptism?
  • Call the Parish Office (586-752-9611).
  • If you are a parent for the first time, arrange to attend one preparation class for  infant baptism.  Classes are usually held the first Tuesday of each month at 
    7:00 p.m..
  • Baptisms are usually celebrated the third Sunday of each month, immediately following the 11 a.m. Mass.

What about weddings?

  • The Archdiocese of Detroit requires that all marriages must be arranged at least six months before the wedding date.
  • Most weddings are celebrated on Fridays - usually after 4 p.m. or on Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m..  We do not celebrate weddings on Sundays nor during Lent or Advent.
  • We will put your wedding date on our parish calendar only after you have received and read our wedding book.

When do children have the opportunity to receive the Sacraments?

First Communion: Second Grade (usually in the spring)

First Reconciliation: Fourth Grade, Concepts of forgiveness are introduced in the second grade, however, it is not formally celebrated until the Fourth Grade.

Confirmation: Eighth Grade

When is the Sacrament of Reconciliation available?

There are three possible alternatives.

  • Individual Reconciliation on Saturdays at 3:30 p.m.
  • Individual Reconciliation by appointment. Call the parish and speak with Fr. Steve.
  • Look for Lenten and Advent Communal Reconciliation Liturgies in the parish bulletin and announcements.

How do adult Catholics complete their sacraments?  What about non-Catholics who are interested in becoming Catholic?  What is the process?

Everyone is different.  So too, then, is the process.  We strive to meet every individual's need  as best as we can. 

How are funerals arranged?

Father Steve and the Parish Staff will do everything possible to help you through this difficult time.  You can be assured that you will be treated with compassion and respect.  Assistance will be offered in planning funeral liturgy.  Please check with parish office for availability of a funeral luncheon.  Call 752-9611.

Typical funeral times: 9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.

Most funerals are preceded by a half-hour viewing of the body and closing prayers in the Gathering Area of the church complex.

What about prayers for people who are ill?

Absolutely! Call the parish office for inclusion in the Prayer List in the parish bulletin.
