Religious Education

Along with parents, who are the first teachers of the faith for their children, our program promotes and reinforces the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Good News Gang: During the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses, no registration is needed.

Preschool Program: 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings.

Grades 1-8: Monday and Tuesday (4:30-5:45 p.m. or 6:30-7:45 p.m.)

Cathechists share their faith with a small group of young people. We provide the lesson plans, supplies, and materials. It’s a great way to share your faith with the youth of our parish.

Office Helpers help during class time with the preparation of materials needed for activities. Cutting, organizing, and copying are a few of the things we need to accomplish for our lessons.

Substitute Catechists help out when a catechist cannot teach their scheduled class. We provide all lesson materials and supplies.

Good News Gang leaders help a few times a year with the Children’s Liturgy during Sunday Masses.

Hosting coffee and donuts after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses provides families a chance to meet other families and members of our parish. Families are encouraged to sign up as their schedule permits. Donuts come from a local orchard, you just need to smile and serve!

Vacation Bible School leaders help with a high energy, week long, summer program. Crafts, music, snacks, and theater make this a fun and exciting week.

Volunteers are at the heart of our program. If you are interested in assisting in our Religious Education program, call the Religious Education Office at: (586) 752-6591.
